How to wall mount a vanity.
We bought a wall hung vanity because we liked the look the extra visible floor space makes the bathroom appear a little bigger and because you can easily customize the height and store stuff in baskets hidden underneath.
Tap the wall plugs into the wall if required so that they are flush with the walls surface.
Attach the vanity to the wall using 3 inch drywall screws.
Then mark where you plan to mount the top clips drill pilot holes and install them.
Use a level to make sure they re even.
With a helper rest the vanity on a 5 gallon bucket topped with enough plywood scraps to raise the cabinet to the level line on the wall.
Find wall studs you can use for your clips and mark where you plan to install them.
Step 3 mounting the vanity unit.
Remove the vanity unit and set it aside.
Then use a power drill to drill pilot holes and install the clips onto the wall.
Pocket holes start in the side of a piece of wood and come out the cut end.
Use a bit that is the same size or smaller than the wall anchors.

Using the electric drill drill the holes into the wall where you have marked.
You can then slide the mirror onto the clips.
If the holes are not completely lining up or you want a more secure install use wall anchors to attach the vanity to the wall.
However they require mounting directly into studs and the chances of finding them in the right place in your wall are not good.
