While you might have roof racks or bars you re still going to need something to secure down your surfboard to the bars.

Make sure the board is properly balanced and the weight is evenly distributed between the front and back.
It should be close to one of the crossbars.
Lay paddle board face down fins up with the fin toward the windshield.
Secure the board using the straps by running them inside your car while the doors are open.
Position your sup so it is running parallel with the car and with the widest point of the board between the crossbars of your rack.
The fins of the board should be facing upward and towards the front of the car.
Slide the board up so that the widest part of the board is between your crossbars.
