How to replace an awning.
Don t remove end caps.
We carefully unfolded located front and back and slid the new rv awning with the attached polly cord into the awning roller.

To remove the awning you ll need to take out the bolts holding the awning to the rv and the ones holding the fabric to the track so you can slide the fabric out.
We used the old awning as our work space to prevent scuffing or damage to the new awning.
You can replace awning fabric by removing the roller and spring sliding on the new fabric and then reassembling the awning.
While you are attaching your awning make sure not to take the end caps out.

Use silicone spray to lubricate the track before replacing the awning fabric.
Use a cordless drill and bolt extractor tip that matches the size of your awning s bolts to remove each one.

If your awning legs extend to the ground don t worry about the awning falling off the combination of spring tension in the roller tube and the legs.
There should be 2 on each side of the awning 4 in total.
Tips to maintain your rv awning.
Once the awning is in place make sure the lower section of the legs are locked in so you don t have to worry about it falling.
With the awning secure replace the brackets and screws you removed from the top of the arms earlier.
Remove the main bolts that hold the top of the awning to the side of the rv.
The steps to replace the rv awning are almost the opposite of the removal.
There is no purpose to take them out unless you want to replace the awning.
